Exceptional Modern Australian Dining at Alchemy Held our annual Christmas dinner at Alchemy, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. The restaurant blends modern Australian cuisine with refined technique, all set against the spectacular backdrop of the Brisbane Story Bridge — an ambience that instantly elevates the evening. The three-course menu was beautifully crafted and showcased fresh ingredients, thoughtful combinations, and excellent execution. Every plate reflected the finesse expected from a top-tier modern Australian restaurant. Few words on the dishes I enjoyed; Entrée – Rigatoni Pasta, Beef & Veal Ragu, Parmigiano Reggiano A comforting yet elevated start to the meal. The ragu was slow-cooked to perfection, offering richness and depth without overwhelming the palate. The rigatoni held the sauce beautifully, and the Parmigiano added that perfect savoury finish. A refined take on a classic dish. Main – Barramundi with Sicilian Olives, Potatoes, Baby Prawns, Parsley & Romesco Sauce The highlight of the evening. The barramundi was cooked flawlessly with crisp skin, tender flesh surrounded by vibrant flavours. The romesco added a smoky richness, while the olives and baby prawns brought lovely bursts of texture. A well-balanced and beautifully plated main that showcased fresh Australian seafood at its best. Dessert – Vanilla Crème Brûlée, Pistachio Purée, Raspberry Sorbet An elegant finish. The crème brûlée had a perfectly caramelised top with a creamy interior. The pistachio purée introduced a subtle earthy note, and the raspberry sorbet provided a refreshing contrast. A well-rounded, thoughtfully composed dessert. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and service was attentive throughout the night. With great food, stunning views and a relaxed yet refined ambience, Alchemy proved to be the perfect venue for a memorable celebration. I really wanted some pasta and in checking out restaurants was intrigued by their menu. I choose the Beef and Pork Ragu and asked that the rigatoni be replaced by pappardelle; they were very accommodating. Due to my allergies I have been trying to drink plenty of water when I eat and the waiter was very good about making sure my glass was filled. The bread was amazing and the pasta was great. I would definitely recommend. They have a 2 course lunch available, I currently can't eat that much in one sitting, but the options looked good.

Alchemy Bar & Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between stylish and comfortable. The staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely go out of their way to make the experience memorable.

Went here for a birthday dinner and sadly, it didn’t quite meet expectations, (Was expecting the dessert will have happy birthday wrote on the side, but nope.) especially for the price $110 for 3 courses. Service was so so, but no birthday touch or effort, which was a little disappointing. The food? We have oyster, salmon, and scallop for entrée but they were a bit fishy. For main, we had Gnocchi and quail were just okay, had a bitter aftertaste. The desserts really let us down. The crème brûlée had no caramel crunch, and the tiramisu tasted more like a bowl of whipped cream. Nothing really stood out, and overall the experience felt underwhelming. Beautiful dinner had at Alchemy. Amazing service great meal and the best of it all a beautiful wine. Perfect is all I've got to say the Goats Cheese Fondant was beautiful light and fluffy. Perfect cooked beef and amazing Chocolate and Caramel Tart with a burnt honey icecream. Solid food done very well paired with amazing service Definitely worth a visit date night or special occasion
