About

Lake House is a two-hatted regional icon set on six acres of lakeside gardens in spa country Victoria. Chef Alla Wolf-Tasker pioneered regional Australian dining with produce from the extensive kitchen garden.

We stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. It’s an amazing place with phenomenal views of the lake, an excellent walking trail and beautiful waterfall. The restaurant on premises serve fantastic food and kookaburras in cockatoos visit daily. If you get up early and walk around the lake, you’ll be rewarded by swarms of parrots and water birds.

We just spent our honeymoon at Lake House in Daylesford and it was wonderful! The staff and service we received was excellent. Highlights included spending a sunny afternoon with cocktails by the pool, our couples massage at the spa, the tour of the Dairy Flat Farm and the delicious dinner with matched wines at the restaurant on the second night. We really appreciate everything, thank you. Small suggestions for improvement: - Cushions for the balcony chairs to make them comfy - Replenishment of the mini-bar on the second day - Replace the Remington hairdryer with a more high-end brand (such as GHD or Dyson) for a more luxury experience

What a great lunch! The food, presentation and service were simply brilliant! What let this near $1000 lunch, dining experience down, was the suggested wine pairings. Very disappointing; it seemed the accountants collaborated with the chefs and sommeliers when setting the pairing list. $125 per person for average wine, for fine food. The Cabernet Franc blend and Mouvedre killed the duck and pork. Previous dining experiences have not been let down by the paired wine. Other than that, select your own wine and have a great experience!!

Our experience was nothing short of what we expected from this amazing restaurant. We arrived early and we were led straight to our table without any hesitation. It was a 5 course lunch and every course was served with great execution. Cassie our waitress was very attentive from start to finish and we loved her service. 5 star effort from front of house and kitchen team 👏
